HD8 Network members the Denby Dale District Lions again enjoyed a fantastic turnout at their annual Charity Beer Festival over the weekend of 14th-16th March.
They have been holding this event for well over 30 years and it continues to be one of their most popular fundraisers of the year. Held at the Denby Dale Pie Hall, the festival offered around 20 real ales and ciders, live music on Friday and Saturday nights and coverage of the final matches of the six nations rugby tournament which was shown on a brand new 55” TV which was raffled at the end of the event to one lucky winner!
They are a Registered Charity and all proceeds go to good causes locally and Lions chosen charities.
Their motto is ‘We Serve’ which is literally what they did for the community that weekend!!
They would like to thank everyone who supported them at the event, particularly the tireless Lion Club members and volunteers, their fantastic sponsors, the Pie Hall for hosting once again, the people who provided the live music, the Big Yellow Chippy Van and last but by no means least, every single person who came out to enjoy a drink, have some fun and help raise much needed funds for them to carry on doing what they do so well!!
