People Helping People Event

People Helping People session on Tuesday 30th July 6-8pm at Emley Community Centre (see attached).

The theme this time is Social Value –with a discussion about the importance of social impact measurement for community organisations, along with guest speaker from One Community giving tips for completing successful funding bids.

The event is free and there will be cake!!

Activities in the School Holidays!!

The HAF Schools out programme is now live on www.schoolsoutkirklees.co.uk  Places at each session are limited and must be booked in advance.

Please contact the provider directly to book a place, if you have any issues with booking a place, please contact us at haf@kirklees.gov.uk and we will look to support.

Places are available for children and young people who are eligible for benefits related FSM (free school meals) or have SEND or have a professional involved. If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Public Spaces Protection Orders

Kirklees Council are currently reviewing our Public Space Protection Orders. The idea of the PSPO is to minimise Anti – Social Behaviour and improve quality of life in the areas we live in.

Community Garden and Mental Health Support

Kirklees Personalised Care are delivering a weekly drop-in over the school summer holidays for anyone (including under 18’s) to come along and find out more about social prescribing and the MAST Jubilee Garden.

We have popped on the flyer a reminder that we work with people under 18 – to try and encourage younger people to come forward, especially over the summer months when on holiday from school.
