The Bridge Community Hub are working in partnership Kirklees Families together to create an event for our families in HD8.
The family Funday Day will be held at Skelmanthorpe Youth and Community Centre on Saturday the 18th of March from 2pm till 5pm
Organisations are being contacted to inform then of the fantastic opportunity to showcase your group/business/service at the Kirklees Families Together family fun event for FREE!
The afternoon will give a chance for the local community, to come along and see some the amazing work groups/services and business operating in the area and just what is available in HD8 for families. To network with other organisations, local council officers and Ward Councillors, and to promote your business/service to local families.
Spaces are Free and limited numbers are available therefore are on a 1st come 1st served basis. promoters are asked to keep their stalls no larger than a 6ft space, and to keep stalls as fun and interactive as possible. During the afternoon families will also be able to see various activities and entertainment in action.
This is a local event for local people to showcase what is available in their communities, if you would like to get involved in the funday, or for more information please contact alison.forde@kirklees.gov.uk to discuss your requirements.
If you are unavailable to attend the event but would like to still advertise and support, we are collecting donations for our raffle and money raise is for future events at the Skelmanthorpe community centre, offering a warm space for local people. We are hoping to also put together a video/slide show which will be displayed on loop within the community café displaying local businesses and services.
