With Christmas just around the corner, we thought we would take a festive walk down our Virtual High Street to see how our local business can help make sure we are fully prepared for the big day.
First stop was Enterprise Print where we ordered bespoke Christmas Cards and Calendars for the grandparents, along with invitations for the New Year’s Eve Gala.
And talking of New Year’s Eve Gala’s if you suddenly find yourself struggling to get into the outfit you were going to wear for that Christmas night out don’t panic Half Inch Seam will come to your rescue like a fairy godmother to ensure “it fits.”
Passing by The Watering Can florist our eyes were drawn to the beautiful Poinsettia’s in the window, an ideal gift for the children’s teachers end of year present. Much healthier than chocolate and they brighten up any room at Christmastime.
Next stop was Grandma Freda’s Kitchen for DIY Cooke jar kits for the nieces and nephews, I’m sure they will have great fun with those.
After a quick stop off at the local supermarket for tins of soup we made our way across to The Welcome Centre who are always happy to receive donations of food, toiletries and other essentials, providing vital support for families facing hardship particularly at this time of year.
Now what to get for our friends’ children, aah perfect a SCRAPtastic Book which includes 25 simple recycling crafts for all ages and abilities from Fair and Funky, they will love that.

Stopping for a much-needed coffee and mince pie at Cakeys our next port of call was Baxter & Boo where we picked up a lovely gift hamper containing the most amazing smelling Raspberry Blossom and Vanilla candle amongst other things.
We couldn’t pass by the Flow Studio without booking ourselves in for Pilates classes starting in January after all this body isn’t getting any younger and Pilates is a terrific way of doing meaningful exercise in a gentle way.
After a day on our feet, we finished off at Regain Pain Management, where Rachel gave us a fabulous Indian Head Massage before heading off home and putting on our glad rags ready for a night out at Just Thai Restaurant Ltd an independent family run Thai Restaurant who also offer a takeaway service for collection and local delivery.
That’s Christmas wrapped up!
