Local independent travel agent Claire Stow was recently given an incredible opportunity to take part in a special filming project with renowned entrepreneur Sara Davies.
Many will recognises Sara from BBC’s Dragons’ Den or Strictly Come Dancing, but she is also a hugely successful businesswoman and founder of Crafter’s Companion.
Out of more than 2,100 Travel Counsellors worldwide, Claire was one of a small group chosen to visit Sara’s studio in County Durham for a day of filming. This exciting project was part of Travel Counsellors’ collaboration with Sara, focused on supporting their community of independent business owners with workshops on entrepreneurship and growth.
During the filming, Sara interviewed Claire about her journey into the travel industry, the challenges faced when starting a business, and the support she receives from the Travel Counsellors community. Claire said “It was an incredible experience to share my story with someone who truly understands the highs and lows of running a business.”
Claire continues to say “It was such an honour to be selected for this opportunity. Getting to sit down with someone as successful as Sara and talk about my journey was amazing. She really understands what it takes to build a business, and it was inspiring to be part of the project.”
