Over the past 9 years, since we launched our membership in 2015; after an 2 initial years of being asked who our members were and how many we had – when we just had social media, networking events and the beginning of a website …. We have priced the membership so that it was accessible.
On top of that we created the community membership, which is free for community groups and charities, and Kirklees Council and other ‘stakeholders’.
The events calendar has also always been free to add events to – side note; this is where we get most traffic from search results.
Essentially, the membership prices are as they were, since they were created in 2015.
Unless you have been living under a stone, you will know that the cost of living has gone through the roof and the cost of doing business has similarly sky rocketed.
For the HD8 Network to be a sustainable business, continuing to offer the services already delivered, and reaching more people, getting us closer to our vision. We need to review our prices.
The value that we offer, is not represented in the price of the membership.
A round of drinks or a meal out, is less than the cost of our existing annual Business Bronze membership or (Silver monthly/quarterly payments for that matter!). Some consultants or trades people get paid more than this for less than half an hour’s work.
Similar alternatives to the HD8 Network, are advertising in magazines, joining a networking event group, paying for SEO or marketing agents. However, for these solutions you wouldn’t expect a decent return for less than £100 per month.
SEO packages rarely cost you less than £200 a month, realistically you’ll probably pay £500+. Similarly for traditional magazine and newspaper advertising – much more for radio and television.
Taking this into consideration, with the knowledge of what we already offer, and what would be possible by growing our team of experts to build the network, providing a continuous evolving service that meet the needs of our community. Connecting us and helping us to do great things. We need to increase our prices.
