The annual cross community one day festival of lights is scheduled for the 16th November 2024 in Cliffe Woods, Clayton West.
As in previous years, the organisers would like to invite schools, groups, families and individuals to join the event with their displays.
The event is an ideal opportunity to get involved in raising awareness of recycled materials and the environment.
There is no need for any great expense, just the use of a little imagination and a few bits and bobs saved from your green bin. Okay, you might need to add to the basics, but the idea is to build displays from what might otherwise be waste, give it a little extra lifespan as a display at LUTW.
Displays should not contain glass and lights need to be lit by means other than naked flames.
Glow sticks do not work if diffused by paper, please keep that in mind.
The date is the 16th November to avoid clashing with bonfires. We would like to ask exhibitors to be creative and about displays focusing on the environment, recycling, peace, global warming.
If you would like to be involved in this winter spectacular, you must email us by the end of Friday 27th September 2024.
It would be great if you could let us know roughly what you are planning on doing so we can factor this in when we allocate the spaces available.
If you were involved previously & would like the same space again you can request this. However, we can’t guarantee you will be allocated the same space. We will whenever possible.
Please note after 27th September space cannot be guaranteed.
When you book your space we will provide further details.
You can reserve your space by simply responding to this by completing the form below and emailing this back as an attachment.
Light up the Woods is a true community event and run by a collection of volunteers, some representing other organisations, including Made in Clayton West and Navigators.
