As we enter the winter and Christmas period, it is important that we are reminded about the pivotal role that communities play in defeating terrorism. Kirklees Council are supporting the counter terrorism annual winter vigilance campaign, by encouraging our businesses, community leaders and residents to complete the ACT E-Learning package (free online training), available here. Completing the training will help increase the resilience of the Kirklees district, by raising awareness about how to spot the signs of terrorism, how to report suspicions, and the action to take should an individual find themselves caught up in a terror attack. Further information on the terrorist threat, and guidance on preparedness actions can be found here.
